Offshore
British Columbia, Canada, 2014
When it comes to photographing wildlife, I usually have about a fraction of a second to line up the perfect shot. Once these orcas announced themselves with four bursts of breath in quick succession, exhaling salt water and slicing deep wakes into the ocean’s surface, I had just enough time to capture their perfect formation before they sank back into the cold, green waters off the coast of Vancouver Island.
