Murmurations in Waves

Just as starlings take to the sky in a perfectly synchronized ballet, so too do the schools of fish that swarm off the reefs of the Galápagos. I watched the lone silhouette of a hammerhead loom into view, stirring the shoals into a panic and transforming the water into a dazzling display of flashing scales.
