The Bahamas was the first country to establish its entire national waters as a shark sanctuary, protecting sharks across more than 600,000 square kilometers of ocean. Here, lemon and reef sharks gather around boats, offering visitors an opportunity to see these often-misunderstood predators up close and demonstrating how protection can support both wildlife and local economies.
