The oceans connect everything, from the mountains of this city
to the coasts of Baja California, from a gray whale to the child
watching from shore, and from each of us to every living thing
we share this planet with.
These photographs are a testament to that connection.
They also express a belief: that the most powerful force for the future
of our oceans is people coming together to protect them.
Mexico is already a leader in conservation. This exhibition
celebrates that leadership while inviting us to go further.
Protecting the future of our oceans requires all of us to play a part.
Together, that shared commitment can have impact far beyond our shores.
FOMARES and SeaLegacy are leading an initiative that culminates in a high-level summit, Ocean Catalyst, dedicated to driving and accelerating coastal-marine conservation efforts in Mexico.
The summit will take place on March 17, 2027.
The initiative seeks to raise the importance of oceans within social and political consciousness, while strengthening Mexico's position as a global leader in the Blue Agenda.
